Research, Reporting and Action

We aim to promote sustainable development through research-driven initiatives, enabling the delivery of contextualized solutions and fostering innovative approaches to address global challenges. Most of our programs are research-based, such as providing free water to Nyamatuta School. This decision was informed by findings on the long distances pupils walked, incidents of harassment they faced, and how access to water could improve educational performance by reducing time and effort spent fetching water. Additionally, we are in the research and development phase of creating eco-friendly packaging from bananas, collaborating with Nyangorora Banana Processors, KIRDI Kisii, and Kisii University to ensure quality, market-ready products.

Trainings & Capacity Building

To ensure the success of our projects, we prioritize helping target beneficiaries understand project goals and building their capacity to support our efforts. We collaborate with training organizations and subject matter experts to deliver essential skills and knowledge. Our vision is to empower communities to actively participate in decision-making and development initiatives in their regions, including government and partner projects, while enhancing their resilience to climate change impacts. Our training programs focus on key areas such as gender equity, community wellness, digital literacy, and raising awareness of government initiatives, fostering sustainable growth and informed community engagement.

Gender Equity and Community Wellness Programme

We strive to promote collective community development by emphasizing fairness in representation and resource allocation. Our work focuses on inclusivity, particularly involving groups often excluded from key project processes, such as women, youth, and people with disabilities. To achieve this, we organize community wellness and sensitization campaigns, fostering a healthy and informed population capable of supporting development initiatives by governments and other partners. Notably, we participated in significant workshops, including the 2024 USAID Western Kenya Water and Sanitation Project Women and Youth Engagement in the Water Sector workshop held in Migori County at Vanna Hotel, reflecting our commitment to driving inclusive and sustainable development efforts.
